Do I need to exercise on the hcg protocol?  

The answer is you don’t need to but you CAN exercise on Phase 2 and 3 of the hcg ProtocolThe catch is that you must not over do it or it WILL stall your weight loss. So I’ve detailed out just a few exercises you can do in moderation during this most critical rapid weight loss phase of the HCG Diet.

Walking

Getting out in nature and taking a walk can do a world of good for you on the HCG Phase. Keep your pace moderate and relaxed. No power walking on this phase. Breathe deep and enjoy the day. You may even like to do some visualization exercises for your new body as you walk.

Trampolining

Jumping on a trampoline is a super easy exercise that can get the blood flowing and oxygen to your cells. You can purchase an inexpensive rebounder in any sporting goods store. When on the HCG Phase 2, you don’t want to overdo it but getting on the trampoline for a few minutes periodically throughout the day can be very beneficial.

Light Yoga and stretching

Light Yoga and stretching exercises can help you maintain core strength and flexibility. Do not overexert yourself. Choose stretches, positions, and balance postures that keep you strong and flexible but don’t work up a sweat and take breaks frequently.

Why do I need the hcg products if I can just cut calories? 

Most people will lose weight by simply decreasing their caloric intake and increasing their amount of activity. However, the long-term effects will not be the same as using the hcg products and following the calorie restricted eating plan.  If you cut calories to below 1000 calories a day, you will feel exhausted and weak and your body will go into ‘starvation mode’; your body will hold  on to everything that you put into your mouth. Once your body ‘recovers’ from the starvation, you will start to gain weight quickly while your body recovers what it lost plus a little more for safekeeping. Sound familiar?

On the other hand, with the hcg products, you will have the hcg causing the release of fat from your fat stores, and the release of calories and protein from your usually inaccessible fat reserves making you feel full and able to stick to the low calorie eating plan. 

You will find that you feel great, have energy, lose from areas on your body you want to lose, and totally reshape your body. Once you have completed the hcg weight loss phase (Phase 2), you will start on the Maintenance Phase (Phase 3) for 6 weeks.   By slowly incorporating certain types of foods back into your normal eating program, you will be able to adjust to your new healthy lifestyle and it will be easier to keep the weight off that you lost with our products and eating program.

How long will it take to lose the bulk of your weight?

You can lose a significant amount of weight in a very short amount of time.  You can lose 10kg in 4 weeks.

The more overweight you are from the get go, the quicker you will lose weight.  I lost 34 kg in 4 months and I started out by weighing >110kg

You should lose about 10% of your starting body weight within the first 4 weeks.   A good average to work on, is a loss of 2-2.5kg per week. 

There are of course many other factors that influence weight loss, e.g. hormonal imbalances, your metabolic rate, thyroid issues, whether you stick to the plan 100%, and underlying health issues.

What should I take to relieve constipation?

If you are constipated, you can drink a teaspoon of Liquid Paraffin every morning to keep your bowel movements regular (this is freely available at Checkers, Dis-Chem, Clicks etc.). If you struggle with gut health, take daily pro-biotics.

I crave sweets and chocolate. What can I do?

More often than not, stress, and a shortage of magnesium can cause chocolate cravings.  Increase your Magnesium intake and find alternative methods to deal with stress, such as yoga, walking, keeping a diary, identifying feelings. We provide you with recipes for sugar-free jelly, hcg-approved meringues, and other treats to choose from.

I am breastfeeding. Can I follow the hcg protocol?

Yes, you can use the homeopathic drops and skip Phase 1. You can start with phase 2 of the hcg protocol.

Are the injections and homeopathic drops equally effective?

Yes, both are equally effective. The drops are taken 3 times a day (before meals) and the injections are administered once a day (in the morning). It comes down to personal preference.

What should I do if I forget to take the hcg?

If you recently missed your dose, take it. If it is close to your next dose, rather leave it as is and do NOT double up on the next dose..

Can I take hcg if I am on medication for high blood pressure?

Yes, absolutely. Weight loss will lead to improved overall health and a reduction in blood pressure.

I have Graves Disease and an underactive thyroid. I have tried everything and am struggling to lose weight. Will this product work for me?

We have had clients who successfully lost weight with the lipolytic injections. You will naturally lose weight at a slower pace than someone without thyroid issues.

Do I have to eat fruit on Phase 2 of the hcg protocol?

If you find that you are not losing weight fast enough or if you have a sugar addiction, you don’t have to eat fruit.

What is an Apple Day and when should I do it?

If you stick to the hcg weight loss protocol and you haven’t lost any weight for 5 consecutive days, you can do an Apple Day. This is a stall breaker. An Apple Day begins after breakfast and continues until after breakfast the following day. You are allowed a maximum of 6 apples and enough water to quench your thirst only.

I lost weight the first 2 weeks of the program but now I am stalling. What could it be?

There could be a multitude of factors for this:

Take in additional fibre, e.g. eat apples as your daily fruit. Use Liquid Paraffin for regular bowel movements.

This could result in the body producing Cortisol which hinders weight loss

Are you in Week 3 of the hcg weight loss protocol?

It is normal to stall during week 3 of the protocol. If you haven’t lost weight 5 consecutive days, you can do an Apple Day

 

How should I store the hcg product?

Once the injections have been mixed, it should be kept in an airtight container at the back of the fridge – not in the door.

The homeopathic drops should be stored in a cool, dry place and NOT refrigerated.

Why don’t you mix the lipolytic injection before sending the product to me?

The product needs to be refrigerated once mixed. We send you everything you need to do it yourself. It is very easy and only takes a few seconds to mix.

What amount of bacteriostatic water should I inject into the glass vial with powder?

You will mix 2ml of bacteriostatic water with the hcg powder. Use one of the 1ml syringes provided and draw the water up twice. Do NOT shake the vial. Hold it upright and roll it between the palms of your hands to gently mix the solution.

How much of the lipolytic should I inject into my body?

Once you have mixed the bacteriostatic water with the hcg powder, you will draw 0.05ml/5 units and inject yourself with it. The 1ml syringe is made up of 100 units. You will only draw up to the first 5 small stripes on the syringe. This might look like very little, but it is more than enough due to the concentrated formula.

How should I get the liquid out of the vial?

  1. Clean the top of the rubber on the vial with alcohol.
  2. Open your individually wrapped syringe and take the safety cap off the needle
  3. Pull the empty syringe plunger with air only up to the 5 units mark
  4. Stick the needle in the vial and inject that air into the vial.
  5. Turn this upside down (the needle is still in the vial)
  6. Draw out slightly more than 5 units
  7. If the syringe has air bubbles, flick it lightly with your fingertips to let the air rise to the top
  8. Push the plunger back to the exact dose of 5 units
  9. Your injection is ready to use. Pull the needle out of the vial

How much of the homeopathic injections should I take daily?

The drops are taken 3 times a day, before main meals. Add 15 drops to 5ml water and keep in your mouth for at least 30 seconds before swallowing. Do not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes after taking the drops.
